Job Purpose
To operate machinery and mobile equipment safely and efficiently within the hammermill area, ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality standards, and supporting general site operations.
Key Responsibilities
Mobile Plant Operation
Forklift Truck:
Empty bins as required
Refill fuel bowser
Telehandler:
Load the hammermill
Push up and manage stick piles
Clear waste from the factory floor
Shunter Vehicle:
Empty metal skips
Collect and transport stick frames
Manual & Operational Tasks
Remove non-conforming materials from stick piles
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks
Bank and guide lorries safely into the building
Supervise safe unloading of deliveries
Conduct quality control checks on infeed materials
Health & Safety
Operate all equipment in line with site safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Report any hazards, defects, or incidents promptly
Good awareness of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
Strong attention to detail, particularly for quality checks
Team player with good communication skills
Additional Requirements
Flexibility to support other operational areas as required
Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment

We are using Contract as our legal basis for processing, which means we can use your details and information so that we may assess your suitability for employment with us, as well as carry out our statistical analysis of recruitment.
